Pennsylvania man killed in car accident



BEAVER, Pa. -- A 47-year-old man was killed in a car accident at 5:25 p.m. Monday on State Route 30 at State Route 168 in Greene Township.
According to police, Gerald Lee White, 47, of Main Street, Hookstown, Pa., drove his 1978 pickup truck through the intersection at state Routes 30 and 168 without yielding to a 2000 Ford dump truck being driven by Robert P. Westlake, 32, of Anderson Boulevard, East Liverpool.
White was hit broadside. He was flown by medical helicopter to Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, where he later died of severe head injuries.
Westlake suffered only minor injuries. A passenger in Westlake's vehicle, Madelyn Case, 18, of Clinton, Pa., was not injured.
