2 face multiple charges after crash
FARRELL, Pa. -- Two people have been charged after a disturbance at a bar and later crashing a car into a telephone pole on Wallis Avenue and Idaho Street.
Southwest Regional Police said Wendell Caldwell, 35, of 340 Wallis Avenue and Nedra Williams, 33, of 208 Wallis Avenue were arrested at 9:38 p.m. Monday after the crash.
Police said both were in a bar on Roemer Boulevard before the crash, and Caldwell is accused of threatening several patrons with a handgun. Police said they later learned the handgun had been stolen in New Castle.
Caldwell was charged with aggravated assault, four counts of recklessly endangering another person, three counts of terroristic threats, disorderly conduct, receiving stolen property and carrying a firearm without a license.
Williams was charged with disorderly conduct, prohibitive weapons, reckless driving, careless driving, accidents involving unattended vehicles and harassment.
Both were taken to Mercer County Jail after Caldwell failed to pay a $15,000 bond and Williams failed to pay a $7,500 bond.
