Possible homicide and robbery probed

WEATHERSFIELD -- Police are investigating a possible homicide in Weathersfield.
Police said they got a call at 3:47 p.m. Monday after a man went to 1189 Emerson Ave. and found his father not breathing. Police said there was blood at the residence.
Police said the victim was in his 70s.
The Trumbull County coroner and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation were called to the scene.
Police said they did not have a name to release at press time.
Meanwhile, in Warren, police said a pizza delivery driver shot someone who tried to rob him Monday night. Police said the shooting was on Kenilworth Avenue Southeast. The shooting victim was at St. Joseph Health Center. Police had no other details at press time.
