SALEM -- A community dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thanksgiving Day in the Red Room of the Memorial Building, 785 E. State St.
Delivery to homes in Salem and surrounding communities also is available for those who call (330) 337-3728 before Thursday. The free meal is provided by community volunteers and is open to everybody. Transportation to the building also is available.
Web site honored
WARREN -- The National College of Probate Judges has selected the Web site of Trumbull County Probate Judge Thomas Swift as one of the top 10 such sites in the country.
The site, at www.trumbullprobate.org, provides attorneys and the public with online access to docket entries of all nonconfidential cases, including cases dating back to 1985. Standard Probate Court forms are also available online.
Judge Swift said computer access to the forms can provide financial savings to those who download forms and file electronically. The site gives the requirements under Ohio law to obtain a marriage license.
New recycling center
POLAND -- Mahoning County Commissioners' Reuse & amp; Recycling Division, The Green Team, soon will open a new recycling drop-off center at North Elementary School, 361 Johnston Place, township trustees said. The township's other recycling site is at 7474 Clingan Road, which is the second-busiest site in the county, according to Green Team officials.
Artist's class sampler
GIRARD -- London House Center for Fine Arts, 202 S. State St., will host an artist's class sampler from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Registration will be held for classes to begin in January. Refreshments will be available. For questions, call (330) 520-1770.
Christmas movie set
COLUMBIANA -- The Columbiana Public Library will present a Christmas movie for children at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The movie will run for 99 minutes. Snacks will be provided. No registration is required.
