CENTRAL HOCKEY LEAGUE SteelHounds suffer 4-2 loss in Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. -- Jeff Christian scored twice, but the Youngstown SteelHounds (5-7-1) dropped their fourth consecutive game Sunday, falling 4-2 to the Oklahoma City Blazers (6-7-0).
The SteelHounds fell behind in the second half of the first period when the Blazers scored a pair of goals.
The first came on the power play when Mike Lukajic scored his fourth goal of the season assisted by Kahlil Thomas.
The goal for Lukajic was his second with the man advantage this season and came after goalie David St. Germain stopped an initial blast from Lukajic.
The rebound bounced out to Thomas who spotted his man in the same spot as the previous shot.
Oklahoma City added to the lead with a four-on-four goal scored by Garrett Prosofsky, his team-leading 10th goal of the season, assisted by Michel Beausoleil at the 18:00 mark of the frame.
Scores 13th goal
Youngstown got on the scoreboard in the final minute when Marc-Andre Roy made a nice play keeping a clearing attempt in the offensive zone. Roy then found Jeff Alcombrack who in turn found Christian who buried his 13th goal, assisted by Roy and Alcombrack at the 19:15 mark.
The SteelHounds tied the game in the second period with Christian scoring on power play again, giving him 14 goals on the season (second in the Central Hockey League).
Alcombrack and Chris Richards had the assists at the 9:35 mark.
Oklahoma City came back late in the period with another powerplay goal as Prosofsky netted his second of the game and 11th of the season.
Beausoleil was credited with the assist at 17:42 of the frame.
The Blazers outshot the Hounds in the period 17-7 and St. Germain left the game with an injury midway through the period.
In the third period, the SteelHounds began with a power play but couldn't get anything done.
The Blazers increased their lead to 4-2 with a goal by Ryan Johnston, assisted by Jared Dumba and Thomas at the 15:20 mark.
SteelHounds get more shots
Youngstown outshot the Blazers 8-6 in the period, but couldn't get anything by Centomo who improved to 3-4 with the victory making 20 saves.
Simon St. Pierre made 10 saves on 12 shots in relief of St. Germain and dropped to 3-2 taking the loss.
Youngstown's road trip continues on Tuesday with an 8:05 p.m. face-off against the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs.
