XBOARDMAN -- The exchange of nuptial vows took place during a 12:30 p.m. ceremony Oct. 14 at Calvary Assembly of God as April R. Williams and Gene L. Brode Jr., both of Centerville, were united in marriage.
Officiating at the ceremony were the Revs. Aaron Newell and Jerry Williams Jr., the bride's brother.
After a reception at Dutch Village Inn, Columbiana, the couple left on a wedding trip to the Pocono Mountains.
The bride, a daughter of Jerry and Wendy Williams of Poland, and the groom, a son of Gene and Joanne Brode of Gainesville, Va., live in Centerville.
The bride wore a white satin princess-style gown adorned with seed pearls and sequins and featuring a cathedral train.
Black gowns were worn by the bride's cousin and honor attendant, Pamela Midkiff, and the bridesmaids, Linda Carney; Shelly Kotch, the groom's cousin; Jennifer Brode, his sister; Annette Szekel; and the bride's niece, Kayla Williams.
The groom's father performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Dan Klanderman, Brent Goedecke, Pete Kim and the bride's nephew, Kyle Williams. Ushers were the groom's uncle, Ron Brode, and the bride's cousin, Will Midkiff.
The bride is a beauty consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics.
The groom graduated from George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., with a bachelor's degree in Spanish. He is employed with Soils and Environmental Services in Nokesville, Va.
