Angels of Easter Seals brunch to be served at banquet center
Proceeds of event will benefit the disabled served by the Easter Seal Center.
BOARDMAN -- Antone's Banquet Centre, 8578 Market St., will be the setting Dec. 14 for a Holiday Brunch and Sweet Shoppe event to be sponsored by Angels of Easter Seals.
Proceeds from the event will benefit disabled children and adults served by the Easter Seal Center of Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties.
The festivities will get under way with mimosa punch at 10:30 a.m. followed by the brunch at 11:30.
The menu will feature cheese blintzes, fruit jubilee, red-leaf lettuce salad, seafood bake, provolone chicken, egg and sausage quiche, Macadamia French toast and potato frittatta. The dishes will be made according to recipes printed in the organization's cookbooks, Angels and Friends Volumes I and II and Party Favorites.
Patrons will have the opportunity to purchase the cookbooks and a variety of cookies, pastries and breads made from some of the award-winning recipes. There will also be a Chinese auction and the informal modeling of fall fashions.

Mary Celeste VanSickle and Marianne Varley are co-chairwomen, and Susan Berny is president of the Angels.
