XThe executive board of Poland Chapter 2520, AARP, will meet at noon Monday at Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman-Poland Road, and a general meeting will follow at 1 p.m. Election of officers for 2006 will be held. The Christmas party for those with paid reservations will be finalized. The party will be held at noon Dec. 5 at the church. The guest speaker will be from Second Harvest Food Bank. Members are asked to take a nonperishable food for the church food pantry.

XBoardman South Chapter 4545, AARP, will meet at 11:30 a.m. Dec. 1 at Holiday Inn South in Boardman with Elmer Haidle presiding. Menu choices are ham and orange roughy; cost is $12.50, and reservations must be made by Wednesday by sending a check and menu choice to Helen Day, 543 West Glen Drive, Boardman, OH 44512, or call (330) 782-2816. The program will be Christmas music by Linda Spencer, and toys for Salvation Army will be collected. Dues of $4 will be collected, and anniversaries and birthdays will be observed.

BROWNLEE WOODS
XBrownlee Woods Seniors will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Faith Community United Church of Christ, corner of Sheridan Road and Midlothian Boulevard, for crafts and cards. New members are welcome. Those attending should take a sack lunch; tea and coffee will be furnished.
COMMERCIAL INTERTECH
XA meeting of Commercial Intertech Retirees will be held at noon Tuesday at Sam Camens Center with Lou Pizzuto presiding. Plans will be made for a Christmas party. Hosts for the luncheon will be Dorothy Pizzuto and Roberta and Richard Shick.

XHoly Family Seniors will meet at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the K. of C. Hall in Poland. Sandwiches and snacks will be served, and there will be a 50-50 drawing, cards and bingo. Canned goods and paper products will be collected for the Poland Food Pantry. Hostesses will be Nancy Craig and Mary Ann Leone. Payment for the Christmas party is due at this meeting. Cost is $6 for members and $7.50 for guests. Those unable to attend the meeting may send a check to Lora Opsitnik, 138 Iroquois St., Struthers OH 44471.

XPublic Employees Retirees Inc., Mahoning Chapter 18, will have a Christmas luncheon and meeting at noon Dec. 6 at the Italian American Veterans Centre on Meridian Road. The menu includes roast turkey, stuffing, gravy, yams, broccoli and cauliflower, salad, rolls, cherry pie and ice cream, and coffee and tea. The cost is $5 and can be paid at the door. A donation will be made to Second Harvest Food Bank. There will be a 50-50 drawing, and 25 poinsettias will be raffled. XSilver and Gold Club will meet Tuesday at St. Stephen of Hungary Church after a noon bereavement Mass for deceased members. Hostesses will be Clara Horvath, Margaret Horvath and Helen Hrecka. Payment for the Christmas party is due at this meeting. Cancellations must be received at least one week prior to the party; those who cancel after the deadline will be charged the cost of the meal.
