Fund-raiser planned for girl with cancer

AUSTINTOWN -- Davis Elementary School is planning two fund-raisers to help the family of an ill pupil with medical and household expenses.
Adrianna Cannell, a Davis third-grader who is known as Boo, was diagnosed last year with a rare form of cancer.
After treatment, it appeared she was in remission, but more tumors have been found. She is receiving treatment at Akron CHildren's Hospital and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Davis will host a skating party at the Skate Zone in Austintown from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday. The cost is $2.
There will be a garage sale at the school, 4302 Maple Ave., on Dec. 3. Household items will be for sale, and there will also be a Chinese auction. A fund for Adrianna has also been established at Bank One.
