2 men rob cash-advance business

YOUNGSTOWN -- Two men, one carrying a handgun and the other wearing a ski-type mask, took an undisclosed amount during a robbery Thursday morning at First American Cash Advance, 2723 Mahoning Ave.
The female store manager told police the first robber entered the store at about 10:40 a.m. and asked how to cash a check. As she was explaining that he needed an account to cash a check, the second robber, wearing a ski mask, entered the store.
The first man then pulled out a silver handgun. The manager told police one man took money from the cash registers and the other took money from a bag in an open safe in the storage room. The thieves left the manager in the storage room unharmed and fled, according to police reports.
