Gannon 80, Slippery Rock 70 -- Senior point guard Amber McFeely (Grove City HS) scored 15 points and handed out seven assists for Slippery Rock in the opener for both NCAA Division II women's teams. Senior shooting guard Kristen Bonner (Carlynton HS) had four 3-point shots and finished with 12 points. Sophomore forward Amanda Chojnacki (Erie Villa Maria Academy) scored eight points and had five rebounds. Three other Rock players also had eight points: freshman guard Amanda Nero (Lowellville HS), sophomore forward Kelly Ann Staudinger (Canton Hoover HS) and sophomore guard Dana Stewart (East Allegheny HS).
