Poland woman gets 1 year's probation
YOUNGSTOWN -- Karen Wilson of Poland was sentenced Tuesday afternoon in Cleveland federal court to one year's probation in an OxyContin case.
Wilson must spend the first six months in home confinement. She pleaded guilty to managing or controlling a place for the purpose of storing or distributing OxyContin.
In August, her husband, H. Ronald Wilson, began serving 37 months at the Federal Correctional Institution in Loretto, Pa. He pleaded guilty to possession of the powerful painkiller and conspiracy to distribute it. The couple agreed to forfeit their house on Peachtree Court to the U.S. Marshals Service.
After all disbursements, the marshals service and Karen Wilson will split what's left. The check for her half will be made payable to her and her lawyer.
The Wilsons were indicted in August 2004, along with Timothy J. Mosley of East Leasure Avenue, New Castle, Pa. Mosley is a former Mohawk High School physical education teacher, according to Vindicator files. All pleaded guilty. Mosley received 21/2 years in prison.
