INDIANAPOLIS -- Freshmen Olivia Arnold and Kelly Reese swept the Horizon League's weekly honors.
Arnold, from Rutherglen, Australia, won three individual events against Cleveland State, in the 1,000-yard free (10 minutes, 49.71 seconds), the 500 free (5:14.95) and the 200 IM (2:16.51).
Her 500 free time was a personal best and ranked second-fastest in school history.
Against Ohio and Akron, Arnold swam the second-best 1,000 freestyle in school history (10:49.57) and added a personal best in the 100 breast (1:13.04).
Reese, from Canfield, swept the diving events against Cleveland State with a personal best score of 241.70 in the 1-meter and 222.90 in the 3-meter.
She was third in the 3-meter and fourth in the 1-meter against Ohio and Akron.

Joe Fox signs
CANFIELD -- Joe Fox, a senior pitcher at Canfield High, will continue his baseball career at Francis Marion University in South Carolina.
Fox, a 6-foot-3, 205-pound two-year letterman, heads into the 2006 season with a career record of 8-1 and a 2.38 ERA.
Cross country
EDINBORO, Pa. -- Edinboro University's women's cross country team will compete Saturday at 2 p.m. in the NCAA Division II Cross Country National Championships at Pomona, Ca.
Senior Julie Nemergut, a South Range High graduate, was 10th at last year's nationals.
An All-American, Nemergut captured her second straight PSAC championship and placed third in the Eastern regional.
Flag football
COLUMBUS -- Jolly Joe's Blue Devils of the Youngstown Flag Football league placed second at the United States Flag and Touch Football's State of Ohio Championships.
They finished the tournament with a record of 4-2, losing to the OSU Raiders of Columbus in the championship game, 12-6. A.J. Saul, Jason Hagerty, Elliott Giles, and Pete Davila were named to the All-Ohio tournament team. Sixty-six teams competed in the event.
The Blue Devils will compete in the USFTL National Championships in January in Orlando, Fla. Team sponsors are Jolly Joe's Restaurant and Sports Bar, Wharmby Sports, and Associates in Counseling and Child Guidance.

*ERIE, Pa. -- Christina Jackson shot 12-for-17 from the field and scored 25 points as the Gannon University women's basketball team defeated Slippery Rock 80-70 Tuesday.
The game was the opener for each team. They were tied at 36 at the half.
For the Rock, Amber McFeely (Grove City) scored 15 points and freshman guard Amanda Nero (Lowellville) had eight points.
Nero connected on two 3-pointers.
*BEAVER FALLS, Pa. -- Katie Hine led three double-figure scorers with 19 points as Wheeling Jesuit opened its season with a 75-72 win over Geneva College.
Jen Rawding, Ali Cananzi and Allyson Clarke scored 18, 15 and 11 points respectively for Geneva (0-1).

HOUSTON -- Louisville defensive end Elvis Dumervil, Texas defensive tackle Rod Wright, Ohio State linebacker A.J. Hawk and Penn State linebacker Paul Posluszny were selected Tuesday as finalists for the Lombardi Award.

Robert Tisch dies
NEW YORK -- Robert Tisch, co-owner of the New York Giants and a civic leader in New York City for several decades, died Tuesday of brain cancer. He was 79.
Tisch died at his home, a family publicist said.
Three weeks ago on Oct. 25, the Giants' other co-owner, Wellington Mara, also died of cancer. Wellington Mara was the son of team founder Timothy J. Mara.

PHOENIX -- Nextel Cup champion driver Kurt Busch had a 0.017 blood-alcohol level on a preliminary sobriety test, far below the state's impairment limit, Maricopa County sheriff's office said Tuesday.
Former champion dies
SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic -- Former junior featherweight champion Agapito Sanchez died Tuesday from gunshot wounds during a fight outside his home.
The 35-year-old boxer died at a Santo Domingo hospital hours after surgery to remove two bullets from his stomach, cousin Antonio Sanchez said.
