Approved a resolution ordering residents and businesses in the Petersburg area of Springfield Township to connect to the sewer system.
Received the first check from fees generated from waste disposal at the Carbon Limestone-Allied Waste landfill. The check was for $18,472.20 for October. The revenue is based on 30 cents per ton for long-haul waste, and is in addition to tipping fees paid to the Mahoning County Solid Waste Management District. The county expects to receive about $250,000 per year from the fees.Approved a resolution in support of the Juvenile Accountability Block Grant application to the Ohio Department of Youth Services, for $20,949 with a local match of $2,328 provided by the juvenile court. The grant would be used to expand probation services and probation screening.
