Mooney High offers placement tests

YOUNGSTOWN -- All incoming ninth-graders at Cardinal Mooney High School must take a high school placement test for the 2005-06 school year.
The test will be used along with the individual's academic record to determine course placement. The test will be administered at the school Saturday and again Dec. 3. Students should report to the school's cafeteria at 8:55 a.m. and bring two sharpened No. 2 pencils, a calculator and their Social Security number. The test will end around 11:45 a.m. Students should be dropped off and picked up at the cafeteria entrance.
The school recommends that all eighth-grade pupils take the test, even if they haven't decided which high school they will attend. There is no charge and parents will receive a copy of the results. Those taking the test must reserve a spot by calling the school office at (330) 788-5007 no later than Wednesday for Saturday's test or no later than Nov. 30 for the Dec. 3 test.
