Mooney's Kubik leads Louisiana Tech

MOSCOW, Idaho -- Idaho placekicker Mike Barrow missed a 54-yard attempt to tie the score Saturday, giving Louisiana Tech a 41-38 victory in Western Athletic Conference play.
Louisiana Tech led by as many as 22 points after scoring 28 straight to overcome an early 6-0 Idaho lead. The win made the Bulldogs bowl-eligible at 6-3 overall and 5-1 in WAC play. Idaho is 2-6, 2-3.
Louisiana Tech's Mark Dillard had 23 carries for 138 yards, and quarterback Matt Kubik, a Cardinal Mooney High graduate, completed 18 of 32 passes for 284 yards and three touchdowns.
No. 15 Auburn 31,No. 9 Georgia 30
ATHENS, Ga. -- Devin Aromashodu turned a fourth-down pass into a 62-yard gain, setting up John Vaughn's 20-yard field goal with six seconds remaining.
The Tigers (8-2, 6-1 SEC) were hoping hated rival Alabama would remain unbeaten, setting up a head-to-head showdown for the Western Division title next week at Auburn.
But the Crimson Tide lost to LSU 16-13 in overtime shortly before the Auburn-Georgia game kicked off, putting the Bayou Bengals in control of the division race.
Georgia (7-2, 5-2) is actually in better shape despite the loss. Helped out by South Carolina's upset of Florida, the Bulldogs can still claim a spot in the SEC's Dec. 3 championship game with a win over lowly Kentucky next week.
D.J. Shockley, back in the Georgia lineup after missing a game with a knee injury, completed 20 of 36 passes for 304 yards and two TDs. He also ran seven time for 40 yards.

PULLMAN, Wash. -- Paul Martinez made a 19-yard field goal with a second left for Oregon.
The Ducks (9-1, 6-1 Pac-10) scored three straight touchdowns in the third quarter to come back from an 11-point deficit, before Washington State (3-7, 0-7) came back to tie it late in the fourth.
Ducks quarterbacks Dennis Dixon and Brady Leaf combined for 296 yards passing and two TDs as Oregon rolled up 444 yards of offense, preserving hopes for BCS consideration.
Jonathan Stewart and Cameron Colvin scored rushing TDs for the Ducks.
WSU's Jerome Harrison carried 28 times for 143 yards, scoring TDs on a 28-yard run and a 34-yard pass from Alex Brink. Harrison set a Pac-10 record with 13 consecutive 100-yard games, passing J.J. Arrington of California, who set the record of 12 last season.

PASADENA, Calif. -- Drew Olson threw for 510 yards and five touchdowns and UCLA defeated Arizona State in an high-scoring show at the Rose Bowl.
The Bruins (9-1, 6-1 Pac-10) rebounded from their stunning 52-14 loss at Arizona a week earlier with another explosive offensive performance.
After building a 21-7 first-quarter lead against Arizona State, the Bruins edged away from a 28-28 tie in the third quarter to get back on the winning track.
The Sun Devils (5-5, 3-4) got a 334-yard, three-touchdown pass performance from redshirt freshman Rudy Carpenter and might have kept pace with UCLA but for three lost fumbles.

FORT WORTH, Texas -- Quentily Harmon caught a touchdown pass and Cory Rodgers ran for another TCU score before UNLV even gained a yard and the Horned Frogs kept their slim BCS hopes alive.
Already playing their regular-season finale, the Horned Frogs (10-1, 8-0 Mountain West Conference) won their ninth straight game -- only No. 1 USC (32 games) and No. 2 Texas (17) have longer active winning streaks. It is TCU's fourth 10-win season in six years.
Freshman Aaron Brown ran for 105 yards and three touchdowns on 18 carries. Rodgers also caught a 55-yard TD in the third quarter from Jeff Ballard, who was 17-of-31 passing for 279 yards and the two TDs.
Iowa State 30, No. 22 Colorado 16
AMES, Iowa -- Steve Paris returned a fumble 66 yards for a touchdown and defensive tackle Brent Curvey rumbled 66 yards for a score with an interception to secure Iowa State's victory.
