XBOARDMAN -- Lisa Rae Droege, a daughter of Patrick and Glenna Droege, 249 Erskine Ave., and Edward Kane, a son of Edward and Peg Kane of Boardman, were married during a 2 p.m. ceremony Oct. 15 at Lockwood United Methodist Church.
Concelebrants for the wedding were the Revs. Michael McHale and Lester Wilson.
The couple accepted congratulations during a reception at the Lockwood House.
They have postponed their wedding trip to Alaska until next summer and live in Glen Burnie, Md.
Fashioned of rum-pink satin, the bride's A-line gown featured an apron back and an organza inset embellished with metallic beaded embroidery.
Holli Droege of Boardman, the bride's sister, was honor attendant, and the bridesmaids were Christine DePascale of Champion, the groom's sister; Courtney Beaver, Boardman; and Sarah Hiero, Cleveland. They wore latte-colored gowns. Flower girls were the bride's cousin, Marissa Taylor , and the groom's niece, Bridget DePascale.
Serving as best man was Rick Galloway of Boardman, and groomsmen were James Hilliard of Boardman and the groom's brother-in-law, Joe DePascale of Champion.
The bride graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. She is a police officer with the U.S. Capitol Police in Washington. The groom is an iron worker with Local 207.
