Delsandros feted at dinner for 50th jubilee

XSTRUTHERS -- The Poland Library provided the setting Oct. 29 for a celebration honoring the golden wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Delsandro of Struthers. Hostesses for the dinner reception were the couple's daughters, Linda Delsandro and Sandra Delsandro, both of Boardman.
Mr. Delsandro and the former Bettie Punio were married Oct. 29, 1955, at St. Vitus Church in New Castle, Pa. They are members of St. Nicholas Church.
Mr. Delsandro retired in 1982 as a Struthers firefighter. He is active with the Struthers (Northside) Reunion Committee and the Struthers Veterans Memorial Committee.
His wife retired in 1992 from Struthers City Schools where she was employed as a librarian. She is a member of the church Altar and Rosary Guild.
The Delsandros renewed their marriage vows June 12 at St. Columba Cathedral as part of the wedding anniversary celebration of the Diocese of Youngstown.
