XBOARDMAN -- Myrna L. Simpson and Lawrence E. Tillman, both of 5014 Glenwood Ave., were married Oct. 15 during a 2 p.m. ceremony that took place at the gazebo in Boardman Township Park.
The Rev. Ronald Chick presided at the wedding, and a reception was held for the couple at the Italian American Veterans Centre in Youngstown.
They live at the Glenwood Avenue address.
The bride is a daughter of the late Richard and Dolores Wheeler, and the groom's parents are Lowell and Leslie Tillman of Ossian, Ind.
Escorted by her sons, Ron III and Shane Simpson, both of Youngstown, the bride wore an ivory western-style dress. It was fashioned of Victorian lace over silk and was accented with sequins and seed pearls. She completed her ensemble with a western-style hat with a Victorian lace blusher.
Navy-blue dresses were worn by the bride's daughter and honor attendant, Shannon Campbell, and the bridesmaid, Allie Burr, both of Youngstown.
Curtis Tillman of Indianapolis performed the duties of best man for his father, and another son, Steven Tillman, also of Indianapolis, was the groomsman.
The bride is a packer with Brentwood Originals in Youngstown.
The groom served 10 years with the U.S. Army. He is a journeyman line man with Midwest Electric of Fort Wayne, Ind., and a member of IBEW Local 71.
