MEDICARE DRUG PROGRAM Some answers
IF YOU NEED A DRUG PLAN:
What kind of plan are you considering? Is it 1) an HMO that tends to limit you to its network?; 2) a PPO, which gives wider choice in choosing doctors?; or 3) a stand-alone drug plan that will accompany coverage you want to keep?
Monthly premiums: What are they?
Annual deductible: What is it? (maximum of $250)
Approved dugs: Are your medications on the plan's approved list also called a formulary?
Co-pays: How much are they for the brand name and generic drugs you take?
Pharmacy: Does your druggist accept your drug plan?
