XCANFIELD -- Avion on the Water was the setting Oct. 22 as Julie B. Herbert, 141 Kleber Ave., Austintown, and John P. Jones, 5688 Colgate Ave., exchanged nuptial vows during a 5:30 p.m. candlelight ceremony. Officiating was McDonald Mayor James Border, assisted by the bride's uncle, Robert Mayer.
A reception was held afterward at the Avion for the daughter of Dave and Carolyn Herbert, also of 141 Kleber Ave., and the son of Bill and Diane Jones, 280 Marcia Drive, Austintown.
Sequins and beading adorned the bride's white satin A-line gown. It featured a halter neckline and a semicathedral train. Her fingertip veil was gathered to a crystal headpiece.
Jennifer Lake of Hamilton, the bride's sister and honor attendant, wore a claret gown, as did the bridesmaid, Jennifer Evans of Lewis Center. Flower girl was the groom's niece, Zoe Jones of Austintown.
The duties of best man were performed by the groom's brother, Paul Jones of Austintown, and the groomsman was Russ Zinz of Austintown. Ring bearer was the bride's nephew, Austin Lake of Hamilton, and usher was the bride's brother, Dave Herbert of Fort Knox, Ky.
Mrs. Jones is a chiropractic assistant with Dr. V.A. Kuchmaner of Austintown. She attended Youngstown State University.
Mr. Jones graduated from YSU with an associate degree in electrical engineering. He is an installer with Armstrong Cable Systems, North Lima.
The couple live at the groom's address.
