First Night seeks New Year's Eve volunteers

YOUNGSTOWN -- First Night Youngstown is looking for volunteers for the New Year's Eve celebration downtown. People are needed before and after the event and are being asked to work a three-hour shift.
Assistance is needed in the areas of hospitality, information, activity assistants, button checkers, venue managers, admission sales, merchandising and refreshments. Volunteers will get a free First Night Youngstown button to attend the evening's festivities.
First Night Youngstown is a family-friendly event that takes place throughout the downtown area and on the Youngstown State University campus Dec. 31.
There is a wide variety of entertainment from interactive crafts to music, comedy and dinner theater, and the evening ends with a fireworks display.
