City police arrest two in break-in

YOUNGSTOWN -- Police said they arrested two men caught inside a vacant house at 524 Samuel Ave. after the homeowner called to report a burglary there.
Investigating officers said they found David L. Johnson, 30, of 2033 Ohio Ave., and Virgil Ballew, 49, of 6350 Sittig Ave., Hubbard, inside the house.
Arresting officers said they found a crack pipe stuffed into Johnson's sock.
Both men were arrested on a charge of breaking and entering, and Johnson was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both were taken to the Mahoning County Jail pending court appearances Monday, police said.
