MERCER, Pa. -- The Children's Aid Society Auxiliary of Mercer County, 350 W. Market St., is sponsoring a sale of holiday decorations as a benefit for the children and families of the community.
Offered by the organization will be a wide variety of fresh evergreen wreaths, door swags and roping and Christmas poinsettias.
Plain wreaths are $14, wreaths with red bows are $17, and with bows, pine cones and berries are $20. Swags with bow, pine cones and berries are $14, and 25-foot roping is $12. Poinsettias in 6-inch pots are $8, and in 8-inch pots they are $15.
The prepaid items will be available for pickup between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Dec. 2. Orders will be accepted until Nov. 28.
In 2004 the auxiliary raised $2,200 through the sale, bringing to $8,530 the amount contributed to the Children's Aid Society programs through the annual fund-raiser.
The auxiliary is also selling the Third Edition Cookbook and a limited number of collectible Children's Aid Society's Cats Meow House, each costing $10.
