FRIDAY
XAmerican Legion Post 560, 103 Twelfth St., Campbell, will sponsor a fish and shrimp fry from noon to 6 p.m. at the post home. The menu will feature fresh ocean perch or shrimp, macaroni and cheese or french fries, coleslaw, bread and coffee. Dining-room or takeout service will be available. Meals are $7 for adults and $4 for children.
XGuilford Lake Ruritan Club, Route 172 at Hanna Drive, will sponsor a beer-batter fish fry from 3:30 to 7 p.m. The menu will include potato, green beans, coleslaw, bread, ice cream and beverage. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children. Carryouts will be available.
XHoly Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will be selling potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. to noon Friday at (330) 755-0064. XHoly Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church will be serving its original fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. at the church hall, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; and bread and butter, coffee or tea. XHoly Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will be selling pirogi and hot pirogi lunches and homemade plain, cinnamon and powdered sugar cake doughnuts. Orders will be taken from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday at (330) 746-9528. Orders should be placed early and are to be picked up by 2 p.m. Friday. The cost of pirogi is $4 per dozen.
XImmaculate Heart of Mary Church will serve a fish dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. at the parish center, 4500 Norquest Blvd., Austintown. The cost is $7.95, and the menu will include macaroni and cheese, pirogi, coleslaw, bread and butter, dessert and coffee or tea. Iced tea and pop will be an extra $1, and a children's menu will be available.
XNational Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon, 2759 Lipkey Road, North Jackson, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Friday. Cost is $9 for adults and $6 for children 12 and under. The menu will feature baked or fried fish, a cook's choice fish or 21-piece shrimp, and a choice of hot foods and salad. Dessert also is included along with coffee, tea or punch.
