Deputy clerk placed on leave indefinitely

WARREN -- A deputy clerk of the municipal court has been placed on unpaid administrative leave indefinitely, pending an investigation of missing money in the clerk's office.
Judith M. DeJacimo, who has been with the court since 1993, was placed on leave Monday through a journal entry signed by municipal Judges Terry F. Ivanchak and Thomas P. Gysegem and is to remain on unpaid leave until further order of the court.
No charges have been filed. Any charges that may arise from this case would be filed through the Trumbull County prosecutor's office, said Judge Ivanchak, the court's administrative judge. The amount of missing money is undetermined, he added.
Margaret Scott, municipal court clerk, said her staff is going through court records "month by month'' in the investigation and that her office will cooperate fully with city police and the county prosecutor's office.
DeJacimo could not be reached for comment.
