AUCTIONS
XDamascus United Methodist Church, 260 Valley Road, will have a Kids for Kids benefit auction at 4 p.m. Saturday. In addition to the adult event, children may participate in a separate auction, for which parents can purchase "kids cash" in advance. A lunch counter will also be available. Doors open at 3 p.m.

FUND-RAISERS
XFirst United Methodist Church, 3711 state Route 46, Mineral Ridge, is holding a rock and lock event Nov. 18 from 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. to raise funds for victims of hurricanes Rita and Katrina. Those participating are asked to get pledges, to register at 7 p.m., and to take a chair, blanket and pillow. XHoward Hanna Real Estate offices in Poland, Liberty, Canfield, Columbiana and East Liverpool will hold a Choo Choo Chow Chow luncheon Nov. 15 at Antone's Banquet Centre, 8578 Market St., Boardman, where doors open at 10:30 a.m. for the 11:15 lunch buffet. Four homes will be included, as well as the library at the East Palestine Elementary School and the nativity at First Church of Christ.
