Philibin 50th is celebrated at luncheon



XPOLAND -- The clubhouse at Trotter's Chase was the setting Sept. 17 as friends and relatives gathered to honor Mr. and Mrs. Ben Philibin, 695 E. Western Reserve Road, on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary.
The luncheon reception was given by their sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Sonia Philibin of Youngstown, Dave Philibin of Boardman, Dan and Jennifer Philibin of Philadelphia, Terry and Anita Philibin of Howland, and Tom Philibin of Philadelphia. Also participating were the couple's 10 grandchildren.
Married Sept. 17, 1955, at St. Patrick Church in Youngstown, the Philibins are members of St. Dominic Church.
Mrs. Philibin, the former Deloris Miller, was an assistant with Roncone Photography and was employed by Bell Telephone Co. in Youngstown before retiring.
Mr. Philibin served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired in 1985 as a detective with the Youngstown Police Department.
