Ostovich 50th is celebrated at dinner party

XSTRUTHERS -- A dinner party was held Oct. 8 at Caf & eacute; Capri in Boardman in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Ostovich, 486 Wilson St., who were celebrating the 50th anniversary of their wedding.
Hosts for the event were their children, Cynthia Semach of Delaware, Ohio, Jean Truxall of Columbus, Eric Ostovich of Struthers and Karen Visingardi of Poland. Completing the family circle are six grandchildren.
The former Betty Weber and Mr. Ostovich were united in marriage Sept. 17, 1955, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Salem. They are members of Poland United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Ostovich belongs to the Snappy Snippers Garden Club and Struthers Businessmen Association.
Prior to retiring this year, Mr. Ostovich was a self-employed contractor with Vern Ostovich Building and Remodeling. He is a member of the Home Builders Association, Struthers Businessmen Association and Dale Carnegie Alumni. He was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army, having served three years as an aviation engineer.
