Project aims to show Jackson-Milton pride
NORTH JACKSON -- A group of North Jackson and Lake Milton residents has started a fund to paint the recently erected water tower on Mahoning Avenue.
The group wants to paint the JM Blue Jay logo and the words "Blue Jay Country" on both sides of the tower.
The group needs about $14,000 for the project.
The group is planning a spaghetti dinner Nov. 13 to raise money. It will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the JM Elementary School, 14110 Mahoning Ave.,
Donations will be $5 for adults and $3 for children 10 and under. Donations also may be made at Farmers National Bank. All donors will be listed on a commemorative plaque.
The project will be funded entirely by private, tax-deductible donations.
