A summary of recent criminal activity in Hubbard and Liberty:
HUBBARD
Oct. 28
Theft: A woman reported the theft of a cellular phone while in the 700 block of West Liberty Street.
Theft: Two people were arrested on Youngstown-Hubbard Road after an employee at a Rite Aid Pharmacy, 147 W. Liberty St., reported a woman ran from the store and set off the alarm. No charges were mentioned in the report.
Oct. 29
Criminal mischief: A man in the 200 block of East Park Avenue said four teens smashed a pumpkin on his front porch.
Theft: A customer left a Shell True North station, 204 W. Liberty St., without paying for $31.10 worth of gasoline.
Assault: A woman told police another woman assaulted her near Walnut Street.
Breaking and entering: While on patrol, police noticed lights on at Jones Field in Hubbard. Upon further investigation, they found that someone apparently used a brick to break a lock to a press box.
Oct. 31
Theft: A Geneva, Ohio, man reported four gallons of paint missing from property he owns in the 200 block of North Main Street.
Theft: A man told police two people stole his motorcycle helmet from his motorcycle while he was at the Truck World Mall, 2525 N. Main St.
Drugs: A police officer reported finding a suspected drug pipe in his mailbox that someone apparently found on Caroline Avenue.
Nov. 1
Drugs: While conducting a traffic stop near Myron Street and Stewart Avenue, police arrested the passenger, no information given, on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
LIBERTY
Oct. 25
Assault: A Youngstown woman reported that as she picked up her daughter at Gorant Candies, no address given, seven or eight females got out of a vehicle and attacked them. Both victims said they were struck several times, and injuries included various cuts and scratches.
Oct. 26
Bad check: An employee at a Rite Aid Pharmacy, 2704 Belmont Ave., told officers a Youngstown woman, 26, passed a $109.79 check to buy items, and that the check's account had insufficient funds.
Oct. 27
Theft: A Trumbull Court woman alleged her daughter, 17, stole an undetermined number of personal checks and could be passing them.
Possible theft: A woman in the 2900 block of Northview Drive reported not receiving a bonds check through the mail in a reasonable time.
Oct. 28
Drugs: After pulling over a car in the 2700 block of Belmont Avenue for missing its front license plate, police arrested a 37-year-old Youngstown man. He was cited on a charge of drug abuse (marijuana) after officers say they found three bags of suspected marijuana in his possession.
Auto theft: A Girard man left his 1989 Chevrolet Blazer running at a BP station, 2703 Belmont Ave., and came out to find it had been stolen.
Theft: A Youngstown woman reported her driver's license and two other items missing from her car while she was at Big John's Brushless Car Wash, 3657 Belmont Ave.
Oct. 29
Criminal damaging/vandalism: A Northview Drive woman alleged that after an argument, her boyfriend damaged various electrical devices and other property at the apartment. Damage came to about $400.
Theft: Police arrested a Youngstown woman, 28, and charged her with theft. She was accused of leaving Perkins Family Restaurant, 3622 Belmont Ave., without paying a $23.38 food bill.
Oct. 30
Theft: A McDonald woman reported her change purse stolen while she was at Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant, 3309 Belmont Ave.
Auto theft: A Youngstown man reported the theft of his 2004 Chevrolet Trail Blazer while he was at the Quality Inn & amp; Suites, 4055 Belmont Ave.
Theft/criminal damaging: A Youngstown woman at Belmont Park Cemetery near Belmont Avenue returned to her car and found a window had been broken and her purse was missing.
Aggravated robbery: A worker at Rite Aid Pharmacy told police a man around age 30 wearing a scarf pulled out a knife and demanded OxyContin tablets, saying he was a cancer patient. The employee gave him three bottles before he ran.
Oct. 31
Bad checks: An employee at Allan's Pharmacy, 520 Gypsy Lane, reported receiving three bad checks totaling $494.
Theft/assault: A Trumbull Court woman alleged her boyfriend, 31, grabbed her by the shirt and hair, tearing her garment, dragged her back into the residence and assaulted her during an argument. She also said he stole $115 from her.
