Delay of game: Friday's game was scheduled to begin at 7:05 p.m. but was delayed 20 minutes. Player introductions began at 7:18 p.m., followed by a ceremonial faceoff that included owner Herb Washington, Central Hockey League President Brad Treliving and Youngstown Mayor George McKelvey.Starters: For their first game at the Youngstown Convocation Center, the SteelHounds starters were: center Chris Richards, left winger Darryl Lloyd, right winger Jeff Christian, defenseman Matt Nicholson, defenseman Kris Mallette and goaltender David St. Germain.Coming up: The SteelHounds and Blazers play again tonight at 6:05. Next weekend, the SteelHounds play the Tulsa Oilers Friday and Saturday. Both games begin at 7:05 p.m. The six-game homestand will conclude Nov. 15-16 against the Laredo Bucks.Roster adjustments: Two players who were on the training camp roster on Oct. 10 have been released: Paul Vincent and R.C. Lyke. Three have been added to bring the roster total to 19. They are left wing/center Jeff Antonovich (5-foot-10, 180 pounds), defenseman Jeff Alcombrack (6-0, 200) and defenseman Sam Miller (6-0, 205).Saves: St. Germain stopped 21 of the 24 shots he faced. He left the game midway through the third period and was replaced by Simon St. Pierre. Blazers goalie Sean Conners stopped 28 shots.Power plays: The SteelHounds went 1-for-6 with the man advantage. The Blazers scored twice on four tries.
