XCANDLER, N.C. -- Lucille Donnald Pace of Candler and Keith Richard Miller of Asheville, N.C., formerly of Youngstown, were married Sept. 24 at Montmorenci United Methodist Church during a ceremony solemnized by the Rev. Frank Ison of Charlotte and the groom's brother, the Rev. Brian Hassel of East Palestine.
Parents of the bride are Benjamin and Jamie Pace of Candler, and the groom's parents are Todd and Patricia Hassel of Altamont, N.Y., formerly of Youngstown, and James Miller of Marathon, Fla.
After a reception at The Crest Center in Asheville, the couple left on a wedding trip to Lake Tahoe and San Francisco. They live in Candler.
The bride wore an ivory satin A-line gown enhanced with pearl beading on the bodice and hemline.
The honor attendant was the bride's sister, Michelle Wood, and bridesmaids were Kristen ReMine; Karen Scott; Helen Hassel, the groom's sister-in-law; Kerri Henrich; and Heather Gerken. Flower girl was the bride's niece, Emma Wood.
Best man was Louis Angotti, and groomsmen were Stuart Hassel, the groom's brother; Chris Staschiak, his cousin; Gary Wood, the bride's brother-in-law; Napoleon Mariano; and Matthew Lambert. The bride's cousin, Mark Messer was the usher.
The bride, a program assistant for Mountain CARE in Asheville, is pursuing a degree in gerontology at Western Carolina University. The groom graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and is an air traffic controller at Asheville Regional Airport.
