Installation held by Miriam Chapter 278

YOUNGSTOWN -- Miriam Chapter 278, Order of the Eastern Star, conducted the 98th annual installation of officers during a meeting held Nov. 1 at the Youngstown Masonic Temple on Wick Avenue.
Inducted at the event were Susan Gillam, worthy matron; Russell Gillam Jr., worthy patron; Merry Beth Vargo, associate matron; Jack Maxwell, associate patron; Judy Elliott, secretary; Elberta Scott, treasurer; Laurie Hernandez, conductress; Barbara T. Parker, associate conductress; Rose Marie Roth, chaplain; Eugene Woodworth, marshal; Marion Brownlee, organist; Linda Woolford, Adah; Norma Wise, Ruth; Blanche Costanza, Esther; Jean Layne, Martha; Jean McClure, electa; James B. Parker IV, warder; and Carole Maxwell, sentinel.
Past matron Jean Olzak, installing officer, was assisted by Naomi Garver, marshal; Rose Marie Roth, chaplain; and Marion Brownlee, organist.
A reception was held in the fellowship hall.
