Relationships don't always fit like a glove, reads the tagline to Steve Martin's new movie "Shopgirl." But if the glove sports a cashmere lining, there's always room for a little give and take.
"Shopgirl," based on Martin's novella, stars Claire Danes as Mirabelle, a disillusioned clerk who works the glove counter at Saks Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills.
And while gloves aren't exactly flying off the shelves in sunny Southern California, they're big sellers in chillier parts of the country.
