ALANNA BANSBERGFRANK VARNER
XYOUNGSTOWN -- Alanna Zoe Bansberg, a daughter of Allen and JoAnna Bansberg of Liberty, and Frank Anthony Varner, a son of William and Shirley Varner of McDonald, were united in marriage during a 2:30 p.m. ceremony Oct. 1 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
Monsignor Michael Cariglio officiated at the wedding, and the co-celebrant was the Rev. John Timbur.
A reception was held afterward in honor of the couple at the church hall.
The bride's white gown was designed with cap sleeves and a scooped neckline outlined in crystals and pearls ,and the skirt flowed into a chapel train.
Christina Bansberg served as honor attendant for her sister, and bridesmaids were Amanda Rupert, the bride's cousin; Christy Gallagher; Jennifer Graczyk; and the groom's sisters, Brenda and Kim Varner and Melinda Helt. They wore black gowns. Flower girl was his niece, Kaitlyn Helt.
Performing the duties of best man was Joe Colon, and groomsmen were Ken Dawson, Jeff Hancock, Doug McClintock, Chris Polachek, Darren Shiley and Tom Thomas.
The bride graduated from Tidewater Technical School of Newport News, Va., with an associate degree in administrative assistance. She is the manager at Second Street Pub in Newport News.
The groom graduated from ITT Technical School in Youngstown and is employed by Grumman Inc. in Newport News.
