Police investigate New Castle shooting

NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- City and state police were involved in an investigation of shots being fired Thursday evening in the area of a housing project on Halco Drive.
Several streets in the area and downtown were blocked off as police responded to the gunfire, said workers and area residents.
Neither city nor state police would release any information Thursday night on what started the shooting or whether there were any injuries.
