Inmate abuse case
Eight former employees of the Mahoning County Sheriff's Department were convicted of violating the rights of inmates at the jail. The sentencings are as follows:
Michael Budd, 97 months. He is at the Federal Correctional Institution in Butner, N.C. His projected release is Aug. 4, 2012.Mark Dixon, 22 months. He is at the Federal Correctional Institution in Butner, N.C. His projected release is Feb. 13, 2007.Raymond Hull, 15 months. He is at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. His projected release is July 11, 2006.John Rivera, 18 months. He is at the Federal Prison Camp in Montgomery, Ala., located on Maxwell Air Force Base. His projected release is Oct. 13, 2006.Ryan Strange, 21 months. He is at the Federal Prison Camp in Montgomery, Ala. His projected release is Dec. 30, 2006.Bill Deluca, 16 months. He is awaiting placement.Ronald Denson, 18 months. He is awaiting placement.Ronald Kaschak, sentenced Thursday to two years' probation.
