BLOG BOOK
Blog book
Blogging is a whole new avenue of communication. It's easier than a mass e-mail, but it does have a downside: you never know who's going to be reading it.
Whether you write yourself or just lurk, you're sure to enjoy this blog in a book. "Confessions of a Boyfriend Stealer: A Blog" by Robynn Clairday, is just that: the text of a blog written by teen Genesis Bell -- and the resulting comments. While some of the narrative in the blog makes you wonder if a teen really could have written it, they do make a point of explaining how Genesis has a love of documentaries that surely aids in her narrative skills. Or, at the very least we can justify it enough to make it seem plausible. But the comments after each blog entry/chapter are definitely true to what we've seen online. You'll find typos, missed capitalizations, too many exclamation points, catty comments, etc. It's all there.
The story itself is fairly routine, with the exception of the blog twist. But it still ends up being a good read.

Simple shadow
Cargo offers us eye shadow that fits in your wallet -- perfect for overnight stays, post-game cleanup or to stash in your locker.
Cargo, who also created a tossable lip gloss, now has ColorCards -- single-use cards of powder eye shadow. The cards come in a cute tin -- 28 cards in seven of Cargo's most popular shadow colors (that'd be four of each shade). So if you've got a favorite, get a tin for your best friend -- then you can swap until you've both got enough of your faves.
To apply, tote along a small brush of your own or just use your finger. Get ColorCards at Sephora for $24, or online at www.sephora.com.
