3 Valley residents help group accept trophy

YOUNGSTOWN -- Three Mahoning County residents will be among 30 members of the Bucket and Dipper Junior Class Honorary as the group receives the Illibuck Trophy at Saturday's game between Ohio State and Illinois.
They are Matt Fulmer of Austintown, Stephanie Gent of Boardman and Amanda Williams of Canfield.
The group will receive the trophy, a wooden turtle with the scores from each year's game carved into its shell, during the third quarter.
The turtle's long life span represents the everlasting rivalry between the two universities. Each year, the trophy is passed to the victor of the last game between them.
This year, Bucket and Dipper will receive the trophy for the 23-16 victory that propelled the Buckeyes to the national championship during the 2002 season.
