WARREN -- Tapestries of Ohio will hold its 10th annual Medieval Celebration of Christmastyme on Dec. 2, 3, 9 and 10.
The event features a medieval dinner. Performers in period costumes from the 15th to 17th centuries will relate a festive Christmas story and songs in the a capella style. Instrumental music will be played using the instruments of the era. Performances will take place at 7 p.m. in the Community Room at the YWCA , 375 N. Park Ave., in downtown Warren. Pre-show music starts at 6:30.
The 12-person group of performers creates an authentic Madrigal experience. Tickets are $27.50 and $200 for a table of eight if bought by Nov. 15; afterward, prices are $32.50 and $240. 'Badger Homecoming'play is this weekend
GIRARD -- "Uncle Phil's Diner 2: Badger Homecoming 1957" will be presented by Two Blocks Off Broadway theater ministry at 6:30 p.m. tonight, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Girard First United Methodist Church, 22 N. Market St.
The dinner-theater production is a trip back to 1957 with food, fun, and the rock 'n' roll music of Blondie and the Flames.
Classic diner food will be served. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 5 to 12. Seating is limited. Call (330) 545-4361 for information and reservations.
Sax, piano ensemble
YOUNGSTOWN -- Trio Bel Canto, a unique ensemble performing music for two saxophones and piano, will present a performance and masterclass on the Youngstown State University campus.
The performance will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Bliss Recital Hall. In the morning, the group will teach YSU saxophone majors in a public class setting beginning at 10 a.m. in Room 2222 in Bliss Hall.

Trio Bel Canto was formed in 1989 to promote the concept of the alto saxophone, tenor saxophone and piano as a viable classical music ensemble.
Classical jazz
GREENVILLE, Pa. -- The Trinity Jazz Orchestra, a 17-member band, will perform classical jazz of the '30s to the present at 8 p.m. Nov. 12 in the Passavant Center on the campus of Thiel College.
Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students. The orchestra covers the spectrum of classical jazz from Benny Goodman to Chuck Mangione.
