Man charged in shooting at Boardman motel

BOARDMAN -- A woman was shot at the Microtel on South Avenue.
Police arrested Ronnie Trimble, 22, of 1540 Manhattan Ave., Youngstown, and charged him with felonious assault in the Sunday morning shooting, police said.
The victim, a 26-year-old Pinewood Drive woman, was shot in the right arm and right side of the body in a room at the hotel around 3:30 a.m., according to the report.
She was treated at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown.
Police arrested Trimble in the room where the shooting had taken place.
Police didn't say what type of gun was used in the shooting.
Trimble was being held in the Mahoning County Jail in lieu of $12,000 bond. He was to be arraigned at 8:30 a.m. today.
