Help Hotline elects directors, gives them awards



YOUNGSTOWN -- The following people were elected to the Help Hotline Crisis Center Board of Directors and received awards at the agency's volunteer recognition banquet and annual membership meeting.
Board members are:
UAtty. Kathleen J. Bartlett, of Jackson Township: She is a partner in the law firm of Yeagley, Kirkland and Bartlett of Salem, and is a magistrate for the Village of Leetonia Mayor's Court.
UAtty. James E. Lanzo, of Poland Township: He is in private practice and is village solicitor and prosecutor for the Villages of Lowellville and New Middletown.
UMagda L. Cooper, of Youngstown: She is program coordinator at Ohio State Penitentiary and a former Help HOTLINE volunteer.
UJoanne Wright, of Youngstown: She is community outreach liaison with the Mahoning County Drug Assistance Program of Humility of Mary Health Partners.
UGary Marinelli, of Boardman: He is business manager for Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 396.
Award recipients are:
UDee Elias Award for community service: D & amp;E Counseling Centers, Youngstown and Austintown, which provide mental health services to youth and their families; Terry Vicars, of Catholic Charities Regional Agency, for his work with the homeless.
UMental Health Advocacy Award: Kate Huff, of Youngstown, for organizing a holiday party for members of Help Hotline's Drop In Center.
