2 men charged with abduction and assault
YOUNGSTOWN -- Police arrested two South Side men on several charges Monday after a woman told police she was abducted and beaten.
Byran Underwood, 20, of Cambridge Avenue, and Henry Garner, 42, of West Marion Avenue, are both charged with abduction and assault. Garner also is charged with gross sexual imposition after the victim told police Garner tried to force her to perform oral sex on him, a report says.
The 23-year-old woman told police she was at a Park 'n' Shop store, 1900 Glenwood Ave., around 9:30 a.m. Monday when two men in a 1994 Buick LeSabre drove up and grabbed and punched her before forcing her into the car.
The men drove the woman around the South Side before stopping at Underwood's mother's home, where she was beaten in the front yard and where Garner tried to force her to have oral sex, the report says.
From there, the report continues, the men forced her back into the vehicle before driving around some more and going to a Canfield Road residence.
Police responded to a disturbance at the Canfield Road home and arrested Underwood and Garner, the report shows. The men were taken to the Mahoning County jail.
