BALTIMORE -- Omar Infante homered to break an eighth-inning tie, and Jason Johnson earned his first win since April 18, pitching eight solid innings to lead the Detroit Tigers past the Baltimore Orioles 5-3 on Saturday.
With the score 3-all, Infante homered off Jorge Julio (1-1) after Ivan Rodriguez singled with one out. Infante was in a 1-for-16 skid before connecting.
Craig Monroe also homered for the Tigers, who can complete a three-game sweep today, and Rondell White went 1-for-4 to extend his hitting streak to a season-high 16 games.
Miguel Tejada and Rafael Palmeiro homered for the Orioles, who have not lost three straight this season. Brian Roberts got two singles to stretch his career-best hitting streak to 17 games.
Johnson (3-4) gave up three runs and seven hits, striking out three and walking one. The former Oriole, who was aided by three double plays, was 0-3 in six starts since defeating Baltimore on April 18.
Ugueth Urbina worked the ninth to earn his seventh save, the second of the series.

Mariners 3, Devil Rays 2
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Aaron Sele took a two-hitter into the seventh inning and Pat Borders homered, leading Seattle Mariners.
Sele (4-4) allowed two runs and four hits in 6 2/3 innings for his second straight win, helping the Mariners snap a four-game losing streak. He pitched a four-hitter in his last start, a 5-0 victory over San Diego last Sunday.
Borders, 42, put the Mariners up 3-1 with a solo homer in the seventh. It was his first since July 16, 2004, and second since the start of the 2000 season.
Eddie Guardado pitched the ninth for his 12th save in 13 opportunities for the Mariners, who also stopped a seven-game road skid.
Aubrey Huff homered for Tampa Bay, which was looking for its first five-game winning streak since last June.
Devil Rays starter Casey Fossum (2-3) gave up three runs and five hits in seven innings.
Seattle took a 2-0 lead in the third when two runs scored on Devil Rays third baseman Alex Gonzalez's error. Gonzalez let Richie Sexson's bases-loaded grounder go off his glove into left field.
Raul Ibanez walked to reload the bases later in the third, but Bret Boone struck out and Jeremy Reed hit an inning-ending grounder.
