Special council meeting
LOWELLVILLE -- Village council will have a special meeting at 9 a.m. Monday in the council room to discuss a resolution honoring citizen Ralph Conti and changing a street name in his honor. A resolution for a repair on Third Street will also be discussed.
Work reduces state Route 164 to one lane
COLUMBIANA -- The Ohio Department of Transportation announced that state Route 164 will be reduced to one lane June 6 for a culvert replacement project located about 1-1/2 miles north of Route 45 and Lisbon in Center Township.
One lane of traffic will be maintained with temporary traffic signals. The contractor for the $202,400 project is BOG Construction Inc. of Berlin Center and the projected completion date is July 31.
Teen job skills training
COLUMBIANA -- The Way Station is offering Job Skills Training for Teens ages 15-18 beginning June 6 at its site at 42131 State Route 14.
Topics will include communication, job responsibilities, job etiquette, personal appearance, attitude, and conflict resolution.
Incentives for participants completing all course work are available, including guaranteed interviews with local employers.

War re-enactment
SHARPSVILLE, Pa. -- The Eighth Pennsylvania Volunteer Regiment will stage a Revolutionary War re-enactment Friday through June 5.
The regiment is garrisoned out of Fort Pitt, Fort McIntosh and Fort Laurens.
A reconnaisance-in-force will take place at the Raisch Log Cabin starting at 4 p.m. Friday. It will last until 2 p.m. June 5.
The cabin will also be open June 12 and 19, for tours between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Review of renovations
NORTH LIMA -- Beaver Township trustees will have a special meeting at 4 p.m. Tuesday to interview architects regarding renovations to the township safety building, 601 W. South Range Road.
The meeting will be at township administration offices, 11999 South Ave.
Labor contract to be topic of discussion
MINERAL RIDGE -- Weathersfield Township trustees will have a special meeting to go into executive session to discuss a labor contract at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
There may be action after the executive session on a contract for the township's four road department employees, who are represented by the Ohio Civil Services Employees Association.
