Respite program provides break for family members
YOUNGSTOWN -- Easter Seals, St. Elizabeth Health Center and Youth Services at Tod Children's Hospital in collaboration with Potential Development and the Rich Center for Autism are offering a weekend respite care program for weekends through Aug. 28.
The program will assess and provide respite care to eligible children with medical needs and autism spectrum disorder in the Greater Youngstown Area. The purpose of the program is to give families a break from the 24-hour attention their children with these needs require, while feeling confident that their children receive quality care.
St. Elizabeth health Center will assist children who have medically fragile conditions and Tod Children's Hospital will assist children with autism spectrum disorder. Respite care will be available for up to four children (two at each hospital) on weekends beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Friday through 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Yoga class scheduledat St. Joseph in Warren
WARREN -- St. Joseph Health Center will offer a seven-session beginning yoga class from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m., Mondays, June 27 through Aug. 15 in the hospital's private dining rooms.
Certified yoga instructor Dawn Perhacs will teach simple yoga postures and breathing and relaxation techniques. Participants should wear comfortable clothing and bring a mat or blanket and a small pillow to each class. Adults only. Class size is limited.
Cost of the program is $57.
