BENEFIT Annual Swing for Life Golf Classic is June 22



WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa. -- LifeBanc and the Mahoning Valley Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors will host the eighth annual Swing for Life Golf Classic June 22 at Oak Tree Country Club.
The event begins with registration and a continental breakfast at 8 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 10 for the four-man scramble. Cost is $100 per golfer and includes 18 holes, the breakfast, lunch and dinner. Nongolfers can attend the dinner only for $25.
Play is being limited to 128 golfers. To register, contact MVAIFA at (866) 871-0888. Prizes will be awarded to the first-, second- and third-place teams in the amounts of $500, $250 and $100, respectively. Other prizes, including a two-year-lease on a 2005 Dodge vehicle will be awarded for any hole-in-one on a par 3 hole.
The event also will include raffles of two sports packages and a pair of Ohio State University football tickets.
Proceeds will benefit LifeBanc and the Eastern Regional Kidney Foundation for organ and tissue donation awareness activities in Youngstown and assistance to local individuals suffering from chronic kidney disease.
LifeBanc is a nonprofit, federally designated organ and tissue recovery agency for northeast Ohio and is responsible for the organ and tissue donation process, public and professional education and bereavement support for donor families.
