ASSOCIATIONS
XYoungstown Branch of the American Association of University Women will meet at 11 a.m. June 4 in the gathering room at Park Vista, 1216 Fifth Ave., Youngstown, for its annual spring luncheon and installation of officers. AUXILIARIES
XSandra Graves will preside at the fourth annual meeting of District Eight Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars to be held June 5 at Aurora VFW Post Home, 1033 Aurora Road. Breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m.; registration will run from 7:30 to noon and the meeting will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nomination and election of officers for the 2005-06 year will be held, and installation will follow the meeting. District Eight comprises Mahoning, Trumbull, Portage and Summit counties.
XFlora MacDonald Auxiliary will meet at 1 p.m. June 4 at the home of Ela Elvines and Alice Seifarth.
CLUBS
XCalon Lan Welsh Club of Youngstown will host the Women's Welsh Clubs of America's 88th Convention June 22-23 at Holiday Inn, Boardman. The events on June 22 will include a tea at 5:30 p.m. and entertainment; cost is $5 per person. On June 23, activities will end with a banquet and entertainment in the East Ballroom at 6:30 p.m. for a cost of $25. Reservations are required for both events and are due by June 8. XCatholic Daughters of the Americas Court St. Anne 1875 will hold a meeting and picnic luncheon June 6 in Founders Hall after the noon Mass. The annual court raffle will also be held. There will be no meeting in July.
XDiocesan Infant Jesus of Praque Guild will hold a Mass of Thanksgiving commemorating its 58th anniversary June 15 at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church, 252 E. Wood St., Youngstown. Recitation of the rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. with Mass at 10 and brunch to follow for a cost of $10. The deadline for reservations is June 6. XAmerican Society of Women Accountants will hold its meeting June 15 at Lockwood House, 7905 Lockwood Blvd., Canfield. The meeting will include dinner, installation of officers for the 2005-06 year and a presentation by Susan Tripepi of the Akron-Canton Chapter of ASWA and the national board of directors. Registration will begin at 6 p.m. with dinner at 6:30. The meeting is open to the public but reservations are required by June 10. Cost is $18 for members and $20 for nonmembers. XThe annual dinner of the Mercer County Historical Society will be held at 6 p.m. June 16 at Shelter 4 in Buhl Farm Park, Hermitage, Pa.
