XBOARDMAN -- Jasen Pekalla and his bride, the former Christina Beck, both of 2275 Yagger Bay, Columbus, were married April 23 at Good Hope Lutheran Church.
The couple exchanged nuptial vows during a 2:30 p.m. ceremony solemnized by the Rev. Robert Quaintance and were honored afterward during a reception at the Regency House in Austintown.
The bride, a daughter of Elaine and James Beck, 1708 Laurie Drive, Austintown, is a cosmetologist at Osten's Salon in Columbus after receiving her cosmetology certificate from Casal's Aveda Institute in Austintown.
Parents of the groom are Karen and Michael Pekalla, 145 Georgetown Place, Austintown. He is a certified instructor with the American Taekwondo Association and is employed at Turner's ATA Black Belt Academy in Columbus as an instructor.
The bride's satin gown was trimmed with beaded schiffli lace and featured an asymmetrical A-line skirt and chapel train.
Periwinkle gowns were worn by the honor attendant, Heidi Monk, and the bridesmaids, Jennifer Szallai, Amanda Olinger, Michelle Pavlik and Mallory Beck, cousin of the bride. Her goddaughter, Amaris LaFleme, was the flower girl.
James Barnhart, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Michael Beck, brother of the bride, and Mark Christides, Dean Rowthorn and Elijah Wilson. Eric Beck, the bride's cousin, served as ring bearer.
